Boxing for Cardio and Toning
Boxing for fitness is always a popular choice of training, improving core strength, co-ordination and confidence. Being high intensity in nature, it burns lots of calories and can assist with weight loss as well as strength and toning. It’ll challenge you both mentally and physically and is a great stress release too.
Our sessions are run by real boxers so you’ll learn how to throw punches with good technique as well as getting a high intensity, full body workout. You’ll improve your fitness over time and learn new skills along the way.
Benefits of Boxing
Cardiovascular health: Boxing is the ideal way to punch your way to a healthy heart. Throwing punches involves the whole body, making your heart and lungs work hard to pump blood and circulate oxygen around your body.
Improved strength and toning: Boxing requires a surprising amount of strength and power, but it’s not just your muscles that will benefit. Your joints, tendons and ligaments will adapt and strengthen and it can also reduce the progression of osteoporosis.
Better Hand-Eye Coordination: hand-eye coordination plays an important role in gross and fine motor skills and this can improve substantially. Individuals with good hand-eye coordination tend to have faster reflexes and reaction times too.
Decreased Stress: Almost any form of moderate to intense physical activity can decrease stress. Exercise increases endorphins, boosts mood, and improves sleep, all of which help reduce stress. You also get a great cathartic release when you punch a bag without holding back.
All ages and levels welcome
Don’t worry if it’s been a while since you’ve done any exercise or you haven’t been to boxing classes before. Our dedicated trainers will make sure that the workouts cater for all levels. They’ll ensure that everyone understands the boxing combinations required to take part in the session and that everyone is working at their own pace based on their ability.
